Powerful Play was set up by Ex-Pre-Prep Head and Early Years Specialist, Lucie Gray.
Following a move to Scotland in 2019 and the arrival of her first child, Lucie’s passion for
Early Years education sought her to create the bustle of engaging, powerful play that she
sought to create in early years settings, in her own home.
Powerful Play was launched in March 2020, with a focus on engaging pre-schoolers in open-
ended play that discreetly supports their all-round development. Powerful Play products,
which includes a Play Subscription, are loved by both busy parents and professionals, helping
fit quality play into each day.
At the heart of Powerful Play is Lucie’s three pre-schoolers, who love to absorb themselves
in independent play; all children are capable of playing independently. Similarly, all children
are born curious and creative. By engaging children in powerful play, we are sowing the
seeds for their future, giving them skills that will help them become successful life-long
learners, whilst making memories that they will treasure forever.
